Another Spinning Wheel Glass Mat

When I posted my original Spinning Wheel Glass Mat here, Marge asked about the error. Now that I have made another error free one to show you, I feel comfortable showing the error. Note how in 1 of the set of squares there is only 2 picots, there should be 3 like in the rest of the motif.

So Sad. However here is a corrected one.

See all picots present and accounted for :-) It is done in Marilee's HDT - Vibrato, size 30. I started work on this right after the first Spinning Wheel Glass Mat fiasco and completed it a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed the pattern alot more the second time around, but can't say that I'm eager to make as many as my Friend - Diane, Lace Lovin' Librarian.

Happy Tatting, World,

Bonnie

Now, you know that the blind man on the galloping horse would never notice the missing picot! Neither would I, unless I inspected it really closely. I love the Vibrato thread. I don't think I have any of that one!

DUH, that's so small a mistake that I don't think it's even worth mentioning. VERY pretty thread you used for the second one.

Not a mistake that would be noticed! I'm enjoying seeing how all the threads work up in this motif but it isn't one I enjoy making all that much myself. Every time I've made it, I've made a far bigger mistake than you did. So much so that I had to take it out or forever have it glare at me. LOL!

The only mistake I can see is going through all that effort to POINT OUT your mistakes, LOL! ;)

They're both lovely, dear Bonnie!

That thread color in the bottom photo is exquisite! You are fortunate to have so many of Marilee's beautiful HDT's! That is one that I don't recall...or it didn't really stand out to me. Seeing it here tatted up really makes me want some! Beautiful work!

The glass mats are both beautiful. I would never have noticed!

Such a tiny little error, I don't think anyone would have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out. Both the mats are really pretty.

That was such a tiny error, my first one had an extra ring, 7 instead of 6 and no one even notices that!
They are beautiful.

Mistakes only bother the one who creates the work(speaking from experience). Your mats are lovely and I would have never seen the mistake! I love the new color from Marilee!

They're both beautiful. And everyone is right - nobody would have noticed the mistake if you hadn't pointed it out! I've been meaning to do this pattern for a while now.

Hi Bonnie,
This is a pattern I have earmarked to do soon, but it has intimidated me. Now, I really want to do it!
I have some of Marilee's wonderful HDT, but not the one you have shown, which is sooo pretty! You did a great job.

Don't worry about mistakes, both look great!

Your Spinning Wheel Glass Mats are stunning! (and, like so many others, I would never have noticed the missing picot)

I'm a Janie-Come-Lately... Why is it called a glass mat and not a doily?

Is the pattern available somewhere online (or in a book) so I can try my hand at making one?
