#12 of 25 Motif Challenge

For my mother's birthday......

It is Julie Patterson's Hearts and Flower Cross Bookmark pattern.

I used Marilee, Yarnplayer 's, size 30 "Roses" HTD (hand dyed thread).

I'm undecided about putting a tassel on it. I think it would look nice, but there isn't a good place to join one to.

HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY, Mommasetta! From my heart to yours, I love you!!

What a beautiful cross! I don't think it needs any further embellishment!

A sweet and pretty cross. f a tassel is required, I will add it to the top ring. Loop a thread into the ring and then add another loop of thread (outside the ring) before twisting into a short cord and add tassel at the end of the cord.

This is so pretty. I have been looking for a pattern to use Sherry's silk thread with and this may be it! Your mother will be thrilled.
